Oxford University Professor Alessandro Abate joins Zinia as Chief Scientist

Zinia (www.zinia.ai) today announced that Dr. Alessandro Abate has joined the company as Chief Scientist. Dr. Abateis a Professor of Verification and Control in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford. Earlier, he did research at Stanford University and at SRI International and was an Assistant Professor at the Delft Centre for Systems and Control, TU Delft. He received a Laurea degree from the University of Padova and MS/PhD at UC Berkeley. His research areas include verification and optimal control of heterogeneous and complex dynamical models, reinforcement learning & machine learning. His interests lie in the principled integration of model-based mathematical techniques with data-driven learning algorithms. Commenting on the prestigious appointment, Zinia’s CEO Aashutosh Mishra said “We are really fortunate to attract someone of Dr. Abate’s calibre to our team.

He will help us closely shape our core technology/product in the capacity of being the R&D chief for our core AI platform, ZiniaTM”.“Zinia is in an exciting space of building a self-serve AI platform for financial institutions.
